[Ecosystem Events] Visa Everywhere Initiative
Have you heard of the Visa Everywhere Initiative?
It is a global innovation programme which tasks start-ups to solve real commerce problems of tomorrow.
This global innovation programme first launched in the United States in 2015 and since then, thousands of start-ups have participated globally, with more than 131 finalists and 36 winners selected. Collectively, participating start-ups have raised over US$2 billion in capital.
The Visa Everywhere Initiative recently launched in Singapore and is accepting applications until 3rd February 2019.
Start-ups in Southeast Asia are invited to join and tackle one of the programme’s 3 themes:
Challenge 1: How might start-ups transform payment and commerce experiences for consumers?
Challenge 2: How might start-ups accelerate e-payment acceptance and deliver new value for merchants and businesses?
Challenge 3: How might start-ups help consumers use digital payments when they travel?
The winner will receive USD $25,000 in prize money, plus receive mentorship and expert support from Visa.
