Over 200 friends and family of Vertex made their way to the new MediaCorp Campus at Mediapolis@one-north on 18 November for an evening of drinks, conversations, and laughter. Guests arrived to ice cold beer and nice wines which provided much relief from the sweltering evening. The Board and Management of Vertex were present to make sure that guests were well taken care of, especially our Chairman Mr Teo Ming Kian and Group President & CEO, Mr Chua Kee Lock who also kicked off the evening with an overview of Vertex’s business footprints.
The main announcement for the evening was the launch of the Technopreneur Circle, a new social initiative by Vertex to create a sustaining and vibrant platform for the technopreneurial community. Apart from having a co-working space right in the heart of the city, the initiative also aims to create meaningful partnership with corporate partners who have aligned interests. An inaugural partnership was inked with Cisco, and Mr Saleh ‘Haji’ Munshi, President, ASEAN at Cisco was invited on stage to say a few words.
Seasoned entrepreneurs Anthony Tan, Founder & CEO of Grab Taxi and Samuel Lim, Founder & CEO of Reebonz then joined Mr Chua on stage for a fireside chat. The chat was peppered with light moments of laughter, alongside inspiring insights on their challenging entrepreneurial journey.
Guests were treated to a delectable dinner spread of laksa, satay and other delicious dishes thereafter.
Lastly, a special note of thanks to MediaCorp for allowing us the use of the new campus, and Asia Pacific Breweries for the kind sponsorship of beers.
